Xiaomi finally launched its much-awaited mid-range smartphone, Mi A1 in India on September 2017. This mid-range priced atRs. 14,999 was a much awaited phone in the Indian market. Mi A1 vs Moto G5 plus Features

Display: The Mi 5X sports a 5.5-inch FullHD LTPS IPS LCD display of 1080×1920 pixels resolution and around 403ppi pixel density. The Moto G5 Plus has a smaller 5.2-inch FullHD IPS LCD display, with a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels and a pixel density of about 424ppi. Both the phones have a crisp shapr and display with no issues of sunlight. The only difference here is the G5 Plus’s display is protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3, this is something that’s missing on the Mi A1.
Both the smartphones look almost the same and have metal bodies with fingerprint sensor in the front and fits into your hand perfectly.

The Mi A1 runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and also features  Xiaomi’s heavily-customized MIUI skin layer. Along with version number 8.5, this particular phone of  MIUI packs abundant features that may seem a bit confusing in the beginning, but are easy to use. One more thing worth mention here is that both Moto G5 Plus and Mi 5X have average onboard sound quality.  The only difference is that the Mi A1 doesn’t come with earphones whereas Moto G5 Plus does.

Both Moto G5 Plus and Xiaomi Mi A1 are powered by a 2.0GHz octa-core (with Cortex-A53 cores) CPU and Adreno 506 GPU, embedded into Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 SoC.The Mi A1 has storage and 4 GB Ram and 64 GB internal storage that can be further expanded with a micro SD card. Whereas Moto G Plus features 4 GB Ram and 32 GB internal storage that can be further expanded with micro SD card.
Graphics rendering on both smartphones is extraordinary and both can be termed as flawless in use. As for gaming, the performance was almost similar to the G5 Plus and the Mi A1 and both perform pretty well even while playing some of the heavy games. They are fast and do not hang.
Because both smartphones have metal bodies, they do heat up a little during gaming especially if you are playing for more than 30 minutes at a stretch. Both smartphones ran smoothly without issues, but gaming for longer durations of time caused them both loose quite a bit of battery life.
Battery: Moto G5 Plus is supported by a 3000mAhbattery and Mi 5X is by and 3080 mAh battery. Both smartphones also support fast charging. While both Mi 5X and G5 Plus have fast charging and almost similar battery capacity, Mi 5X took half an hour extra than Moto G5 Plus to fully charge its battery.

Mi A1 vs Moto G5 plus Camera Comparison

One of the most outstanding features of  XiaomiMiA1 is its dual rear camera setup and ‘portrait mode’. The camera comes with two 12MP module and also offers the smartphone an effective 2x optical zoom. One module has a 26mm lens with f/2.2 aperture, while the other has a 50mm lens with f/2.6 aperture. The Moto G5 Plus sports a regular 12-megapixel rear camera with f/1.7 lens aperture and dual-LED dual-tone flash.
The daylight images clicked by Moto G5 Plus are sharp and detailed as compared to lowlight pictures. The lowlight images tend to get grainy with this smartphone.
The Mi A1 daylight images are also good but not as sharp and bright as Moto G Plus. But as for the HDR mode, the Mi 5X is better than Moto G5 Plus. Its color tuning and contrast levels are sure to win you over. The low light pictures in Mi A1 are sharper and more distinct as compared to the Moto G Plus.
So as to the much talked  ‘portrait mode,’ of Mi A1, a feature that’s missing in the G5 Plus. This mode makes theMiA1 click DSLR-like photos by blurring everything in the background and focusing on the primary object. Both the rear cameras as great but the additional point here goes to Mi A1 as it comes with some extra camera features like ‘portrait mode’ and ‘2X optical zoom’ in this price segment. It also includes aa highly customized camera app and includes a lot of features.

Front Camera

Both Moto G5 Plus and Mi 5X feature 5MP selfie camera in the front. Selfies taken from both the smartphones look more or less the same. Moto G5 Plus’s camera has a wider aperture, unlike that of Xiaomi MiA1.
