Nokia 6 is one of the most talked about phones after the re-launch of Nokia. Nokia is an established brand but has made a comeback after a long hiatus. This phone is available on the market since May 2017. Whereas Huawei Honor 6X is been around since October 2016.
Both the phones are doing quite well, so let’s compare both and find out which one is worth spending your money on. To start with Nokia 6 is available in the India market for Rs. 14,999 and Honor 6X for Rs. 11,999.

Both the phones have metal unibody and look quite sleek, but as expected Nokia 6 has a better build quality as compared to Honor 6X. In sturdiness, Nokia is still way ahead. Both the smartphones feature navigation keys on the front but there’s a difference. The only difference is that Nokia has capacitive keys for navigation whereas the Honor 6X has an on-screen button. The Nokia 6’s home button is also a fingerprint sensor and is located in front while Honor 6X’s fingerprint sensor is placed at the back. You will find the volume controllers and power button on the right edge and the SIMtray is placed on the left edge for both the smartphones.
Display: The Nokia 6 and Honor 6X both have 5.5-inch full-HD displays with 403ppi of pixel density. The only thing that differs is the screen tech. The Nokia 6 has IPS LCD panel with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 protection, whereas the Honor 6X has LTPS IPS LCD panel with no protection. Both phones have a sharp display but Nokia 6 is more pleasing to the eyes as the colors somehow do not really stress your eye.

Primary Camera: The Nokia 6 sports a 16-megapixel autofocus camera with dual LED flash and a f/2.0 lens aperture, and Huawei Honor 6X features a dual camera setup with 12- and 2MP snappers with LED flash and f/2.0 aperture.Honor 6X is the only phone in this range to sport a dual camera.
As for crispness of the picture somehow you get the feeling that the pictures clicked by Honor 6X are way better than Nokia 6. The colors are sharper and the quality can almost be matched to a DSLR. Low light pictures to are way better when clicked with Honor 6X as compared to Nokia 6.
Rear Camera: Both the Nokia 6 and Honor 6X sport an 8-megapixel selfie camera at the front with f/2.0 lens aperture. But the similarity ends here as the picture quality is somehow quite different. The Nokia 6 yields images that look natural with the correct softness and color. The Honor 6X uses some filter while clicking selfies even with the ‘beauty’ mode turned off. The selfies come out quite bright with an unnatural look. For selfies, Nokia 6 is a clear winner.
As for the User Interface (UI) Nokia 6 run Android v7.1.1 and the Huawei Honor 6X boots Android 7.0 with the custom EMUI. Both smartphones offer the convenience of “Split Screen” meaning you can split the screen and use two applications simultaneously. Like for example, you can use both the WhatsApp and Chrome app at once; with half of the screen displaying WhatsApp and rest will display Chrome. You can also increase and decrease the size of each app screen as per your convenience.
The Nokia 6 has a 3,000mAh battery and has a 3.5mm audio jack. Connectivity options includes- Wi-Fi, USB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS.
The Honor 6X has a 3,340 mAh battery, which is almost the same power as Nokia 6 and has support for USB Yes, microUSB v2.0 and Dual SIM. As their battery power is almost same, their charging time is also same (nearly 2 hours). Both the phone offers excellent battery life and can easily last a whole day with heavy to moderate use).
One thing to note here is that The Honor 6X does not come with a set of earphone whereas Nokia 6 does; however, its earphones are average. The sound quality of both the phones is also more or less similar.

The Nokia 6 is powered by an Octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor with the speed of 1.4GHz. The phone is backed by a 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via micro SD card slot.
On the other hand, the Honor 6X is equipped with the HiSilicon Kirin 655 SoC, which is also an Octa-core processor running at 1.7GHz and is backed by a 3GB RAM. This means is the processor has Octa cores in the CPU and 3 GB of RAM ensures the phone runs smoothly with multiple applications open simultaneously The phone also has 32 GB internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via micro SD card slot.
In the performance part, the Nokia 6 is a little behind the Honor 6X as the gaming experience is way better in the Huawei Honor 6X.But Nokia 6 has Dolby Atmos, dual speakers, a sturdier build and a great look.
Colors: The Nokia 6 comes in with four color options- tempered blue, matte black, and silver and the Honor 6X comes in three colors - gray, silver and gold.
