In the year 2016 Google launched its own mobile and made everyone realise the importance of practicality and accessibility. Till now all we were concerned were the looks and hardware. With a focus of making its devices appealing to all users Google has now announced the launch of Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, two most awaited devices of the year.
On 4th October 2017 Google unveiled two smartphones, Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL in an event in San Francisco. While these devices look quite similar to the original Pixel and Pixel XL, there are many new changes both externally and internally that makes it important for us to find out in details about these two smartphones.
The newest addition to the Google phone, Google Pixel 2 (64GB) runs on Android,8.0 Oreo and sports a 5.0 inches AMOLED (Corning Gorilla Glass 5) 1080 x 1920 pixels display. It features Octa-core Quad Core x 2.35 GHz & Quad Core x 1.9 GHz Kryo 4GB RAM Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835 processor along with a huge 64GB and 128 GB native storage capacity with no support for micro SD card.
The Pixel 2 will have a starting price of Rs.61, 000 in India for the 64GB variant. The 128GB variant costs Rs.70, 000.
Google Pixel 2 Display
The Pixel 2 sports a 5-inch screen with a resolution of 1080P. The screen has an aspect ratio of 16:9. The screen is colorful and bright and also has a layer of The Gorilla Glass 5 for protection.
The phone look wise maintains its tone look just that it is more seamless. As for size it’s almost the same size as the iPhone 8, and is comfortable to hold and use one-handed.

One of the important features that need to be mentioned is like many of its high-end counterparts the Google Pixel 2 will have an "always on" display. This means that the phone at all times will show couple of important information like time, date, battery life and the song that's playing without the screen being lit up.
This phone features a glass and aluminium body with only a camera and a fingerprint sensor at the back. The phone has a water and dust-proof body with front-firing stereo speakers. As for audio there is no 3.5mm headphone jack in the Pixel 2.It only features a headphone that uses USB C port to connect to the phone.

One of the most highlighted features of this phone is the camera. Reviews say that this camera has left behind the iPhone 8 Plus camera. The image processing is so good that Pixel 2 still stand out in some of the most important areas like exposure, quality, contrast and colour.
The Rear camera is 12-megapixel shooter with a dual-pixel sensor with F1.8 wide lens. And for selfies, you get an 8-megapixel front camera with F2.4 lens

Google Pixel 2 XL
The Pixel XL 2 is the larger device as compared to Pixel 2 and is also a little more expensive with a few superior and better specs in some areas.
Exactly line Google Pixel 2 the Pixel 2 XL use Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with 4 GB Ram and has a 64GB and 128 GB native storage capacity with no support for micro SD card.
The 64GB variant of Pixel 2 XL will sell for Rs 73,000 and the 128GB variant will cost Rs 83,000 in India for now.
Just like Google Pixel 2 the Pixel 2 XL will be available in three colours - Kinda Blue, Clearly White and Just Black.

The Pixel 2 XL features a 6-inch screen pOLED display, with a layer of curved glass on top of it. The display sports very thin bezels and gives a full vision display with no front home button. It has a resolution of 1440P with an aspect ratio of 18:3. The Pixel 2 XL screen has 100 per cent DCI-P3 colour space and Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

As far as features are concerned both the phones here have many common features like water, dust resistant and always on display. For looks, you get aluminium frame and glass panelling on the back as well. The one interesting feature is by squeezing the frame on both sides you can start the Google Assistant which listens to all voice commands and has loads of other interesting features.
Battery: The battery of this device is massive and lasts for 2 days easily. Google has boosted it to 3,520mAh for the Pixel 2 XL.
Google Pixel 2 XL Camera
Pixel 2 XL has a 12MP rear camera lens, with Optical Image Stabilisation and f/1,7 aperture. The best part is that Google promises that Pixel phones will be able to click Portrait mode images without the dual camera that is a common feature in smartphones these days. The selfie camera is 8MP with an f/2.4 aperture.
The camera also boats of having AR search tool and can recognize various objects on its own. It works through automated object recognition and uses Google's AI technology for the same.
