The mid-range smartphone category has a lot of phones flooded by Xiaomi and they launch the smartphones in this category now and then. To surprise, Xiaomi recently launched their sub-brand Pocophone and debuted in India with Poco F1, the budget flagship killer. The device is said to be the cheapest device with a Flagship Snapdragon 845 processor. In this article, we are going to compare Poco F1 with earlier launched Xiaomi Mi A2 phone.

Display and design: Talking about the design, the Poco F1 looks good from front but at back, it looks pretty much average phone with plastic built. However the Mi A2 looks premium from front and back. The Mi A2 has a premium looking aluminum built with antenna bands on top and bottom. Both the device sports almost similar display sizes and has full HD+ resolution. However, the Poco F1 has a notch while Mi A2 doesn’t.


 

Software and OS:  The Poco F1 comes with MIUI based on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box while Mi A2 has a stock android and comes under the Android One program.

Specifications: Here comes the huge difference between both the devices, the Poco F1 sports a Snapdragon 845 processor while Mi A2 has a mid-range Snapdragon 660 processor. The devices are incomparable in the performance section as Poco F1 clearly out-performs Mi A2. However, that doesn’t mean Mi A2 is a poor performer. It is good in performance too.

Camera: Both the devices has a dual rear camera setup. However, Mi A2 is specially made keeping photography oriented people in mind. Mi A2 has a dual 20+12 MP camera setup which clicks really great quality photos. The Poco F1 has 12+5 MP camera setup at back. Both the devices has 20 MP front camera with AI technology.



Battery: Poco F1 has a massive 4,000 mAh battery with quick charge 3.0 support. The phone has a great level of battery optimizations which helps the phone to retain battery for the longer interval. Mi A2 has a decent 3010 mAh battery and also supports quick charge 3.0.

Conclusion: 

Both the devices are good for their respective price level but if you are looking for a phone with great camera quality and premium looks them Mi A2 should be your choice. If you’re looking for a flagship performance beast on a really a mid-range budget then Poco F1 should be your choice.
